Centum Logics
Case Study · Multi-Tenant Dropshipping SaaS

One dashboard that runs a dropshipping business, safely, on autopilot.

Centum Logics built StoreSync (product name PreBuiltProfit) — a multi-tenant platform that connects a merchant's Shopify store to AliExpress/CJ Dropshipping, syncs pricing and inventory automatically, and enforces its own safety rules on every price change, order, and AI reply.

01 — The challenge

Dropshipping is five jobs pretending to be one.

A solo dropshipper is simultaneously a pricing analyst (watching supplier cost against margin), an inventory clerk (catching stockouts before they hit a live store), a fulfillment manager (routing orders without eating a fraud loss), and a support agent (answering "where is my order" all day) — usually with no single system tying supplier, storefront and customer together.

The gap

Spreadsheets and one-off scripts can sync a price or a stock count, but nothing enforces a margin floor, screens an order for fraud before it ships, or throttles supplier API usage before it gets the merchant's account suspended.

The approach

Build the safety rules into the platform itself — a price validator, a fraud score gate, a rate-limit guard — so automation can run unattended without a bad price, a fraudulent order, or a banned API key being the result.

02 — The merchant workspace

Connect once, then let it run

Every screen below is the real, working merchant application — live and in production.

Pricing Engine

One rule, applied to hundreds of products instantly

Merchants set a pricing rule once — markup over cost, increase/decrease by %, fixed adjustment, or an exact price — and apply it across their whole catalog, filtered by source (CJ, Shopify, manual). Every write is validated against a minimum margin floor before it ever reaches Shopify.

  • Six rule types, live preview before anything is applied
  • Price rounding presets (e.g. nearest $X.99) for real storefront pricing
  • Price updates always queued as jobs, never run synchronously against the storefront

Inventory

Stock sync as a visible, auditable pipeline

Inventory isn't a hidden cron job — the actual four-step pipeline (supplier stock checked → inventory updated → pushed to Shopify → paused if zero stock) is shown to the merchant, alongside live low-stock and out-of-stock counts and a stockout event log.

  • Only writes to the store when the fetched quantity actually differs from cache
  • Zero-stock items are auto-paused rather than sold and refunded later
  • Every stockout fires an event other parts of the system can react to

Sourcing

Winning products, ranked by margin — not guesswork

One-click product research surfaces supplier products with cost, suggested price and estimated profit already calculated and margin-tagged (Great / Good / Low), so a merchant imports based on real numbers instead of a gut feeling.

  • Search by niche, filter by price, sort by order volume
  • Direct Import or Analyze action per product
  • Quick-search chips for common dropshipping niches

04 — The rules behind the automation

Automation that isn't allowed to hurt the merchant

Every autopilot feature in StoreSync is paired with an explicit, written guardrail — enforced in code, not left to hope.

Pricing

Never sell below the margin floor

Every price write to Shopify passes through a PriceValidator first, which enforces the merchant's configured minimum-margin percentage before the update is allowed to queue.

Fulfillment

Fraud-score every order before auto-fulfilling

Incoming orders are scored by a fraud-detection service before placement; anything at or above the merchant's own risk threshold is held back from auto-fulfillment rather than shipped blind.

Supply chain

Respect the supplier's rate limit before it bans you

AliExpress calls are counted against a daily Redis counter; at 80% of the platform's daily cap, non-critical requests stop automatically rather than risking the account.

AI support

Never auto-send a low-confidence reply

AI-drafted support responses carry a stored confidence score; anything below 0.90 is held as a draft for merchant review instead of being sent automatically, with intent classified rather than keyword-matched.
